Research

My research interests involve mind-body medicine and the use of holistic therapies to address psychiatric conditions.  My current research projects focus on non-ordinary states of consciousness and the effects of psychedelics on the cognition, health, and functioning of adult populations.  I participate in planning, coordinating, and conducting clinical psilocybin trials, and I provide facilitation to participants in the Usona Institute randomized, double-blind, support-of-concept phase 2 study of single-dose psilocybin for major depressive disorder (MDD).  I enjoy the creativity of clinical research and strive to contribute to the scientific understanding of novel, alternative approaches to psychiatric care.
