Research

My research interests involve mind-body medicine and the use of holistic therapies to address psychiatric concerns. I am particularly focused on non-ordinary states of consciousness and the effects of psychedelic medicines on cognition, health, and functioning. I have participated in planning and conducting clinical psilocybin trials, and have provided facilitation to participants in Usona Institute's FDA approved study of psilocybin therapy for major depression. I also received training from the Mutidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) to provide MDMA-assisted therapy to adults with PTSD. I enjoy the creativity of clinical research and strive to contribute to the scientific understanding of novel, alternative approaches to psychiatric care.
